The Space

 
Enjoy the magic of quiet evenings under the cosy, ferry light living room ceiling and lazy mornings watching the Toi Toi’s blow peacefully in the wind. And when it’s time to go exploring, you will find a multitude of activities just minutes away.
The queen size bedroom is a 10m² cedar cabin that opens up via a slider door to a fully enclosed living area with a Balinese inspired ensuite and small kitchenette with tea & coffee making facilities.
Flaxpod cabin will accommodate small groups of 3 maximum (2 adults & 1 child or 3 adults). There is a fold down couch in the living area with bedding that can be left for you to make up at your own leisure. Please note that this is a couch not a bed as such, so you may not find it the most comfortable option as an adult, but is more than suitable for children.
The ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity has been designed to have an indoor/outdoor vibe. There is no actual door to the toilet (a pull across curtain only) so if privacy is an issue it might not be suitable for two friends traveling together.
Linen, duvets, pillows, bath towels, tea, coffee and milk are included.
We are 6 minutes drive to Raglan town.

If it’s hiking, beach time, shopping, water activities or simply wanting to view the magnificent Bridal Veil falls, you will find all of these attractions within 20 minutes drive from the cabin. A country coffee shop and convenience store is just 4 minutes drive and Raglan town 6 minutes drive.

Things to Note

  • Check-In from 3pm, Check-Out by 10am
  • The cabin is located on our family proerty approximately 20 - 30 metres from the main house. Although we are sometimes on site, we like to give guests full privacy and will not disturb you during your stay unless we are needed.
  • Although located rurally, we are quite close to a busy road during the daylight hours. But it is very quiet at night time.
  • We do have very friendly golden labrador who will most likely want to come and say hello during your stay. Don't be fooled by her longing eyes when she trys to come and join you in bed.
  • Our children do play on the lawn area occassionally which is on the other side of our house, so at times you may here them kicking a ball around or bouncing on the trampoline. They are well trained little people and won't venture outdoors before 10am on the weekends :)
  • There is no TV in the cabin, but free WiFi to stream from a laptop.
  • There is a small kitchenette with mini-fridge, toaster, kettle & nespresso coffee machine, but this is not a full kitchen and does not have cooking facilities..
  • All linen, towels and basic amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, tea, coffee, carton of milk) are included in your nightly rate.
  • We are unable to host pets.

Wow what a beautiful place! Absolutely stunning furnishings and fittings, the comfiest bed ever and such a beautiful bathroom! It was so lovely and clean and there were so many nice little extra touches, the hosts have really thought of everything.
