The Space

Inside this cute and quirky cottage, the pared-back coastal theme, with cool whites and calm oceanside blues create a light-filled, cosy and intimate space, the perfect spot for reading a book or simply admiring the stunning views. The large corner lounge suite provides the comfiest of places to kick back and watch the ever-changing kiwi weathers as they roll across the ocean. And on those hot summers days, throw open the french doors to enjoy your extended living and outdoor entertaining space.
The fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, stovetop and fridge/freezer looks across the open plan dining and living room with an indoor dining table that can seat up to 4 people. Or take advantage of the generous, elevated deck with solid wood dining table and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with ocean vistas as your backdrop.
There are two good sized bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, bedside tables, night reading lights and 4 drawers tallboy so you can unpack and settle in as if you were right at home.

Perfectly located for a 5 minute wander down to the Wharf Waterfront where you can peruse the boutique retail stores, enjoy a beverage at The Wharf Cafe, pick up your evening fish & chips or jump aboard the Wahine Moe sunset cruise in summer. And in a short 12-minute walk along the waterfront, you will find yourself in the main street of our Vibrant Raglan township for more shopping, eateries and entertainment.

Things to Note

  • Check-In from 3pm, Check-Out by 10am
  • The Master bedroom is accessed via the Queen bedroom, but has its own door and can be closed off for privacy.
  • There is a large step up to the bedrooms and step up into the laundry and toilet area so this property wouldn’t be suitable for those that require a level entry. The shower is over a claw foot bath, so again not ideal for those that need a level entry.

  • Unfortunately the clawfoot bath is currently out of order for use as a bath, it is shower only.
  • The toilet is a "cottage type" room that is inside the house, but has a "rustic outhouse feel" with corrugate iron walls and a sliding door for privacy.
  • The quirky cottage vibes are continued with the slanting floors in all the rooms.
  • The carport/driveway is quite steep and small so not suitable for vehicles with low clearance or tall vehicles. There is parking available on the grass verge outside the property if you'd prefer not to park in the car port.
  • All linen, towels and basic amenities (soap, shampoo, tea, coffee, carton of milk) are included in your nightly rate.

Loved our stay at Raglan. The house was full of character with amazing views of the harbour. While it was windy and cool at times in Raglan during our stay the house captured the sun and was very comfortable. We enjoyed walking into the town centre from the house and eating at the Wharf restaurant nearby.

We enjoyed our winter weekend stay at this character cottage which has a real Kiwi bach feel and is in a great location. Great location Warm and sunny living areas with wonderful elevated harbour views from all windows, very comfortable beds with quality bedding, great big couch to watch movies from, everything you need in the kitchen and nice touches from the property management.

A lovely wee cottage with a real kiwi bach feel. The beds were very comfortable and the lovely big couch was a great place to sit and look out to the view over the harbour. Our visit was in winter & frequent rain stopped us from spending much time on the lovely big deck, but it would be a great spot on a nice day. The heating in the cottage keep us comfortable and warm. We hope to return again soon.

Gorgeous little cottage with panoramic views from all windows! Just stunning. Had a two night stay…. Didn’t want to leave!! Very Comfortable beds and great big couch to chill on. Lovely attentive host who dropped a bottle of wine off for a tap that wasn’t working. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it was a nice touch and appreciated. Will definitely book another stay.
