The Space

This modern architecturally designed apartment is the perfect base for your Raglan getaway. Bespoke design elements are evident inside and out. Park directly under the apartment in your dedicated carport, complete with lockable storage unit for your surfboard or sports equipment. Walk up the private stairs to the elevated apartment and you will be welcomed by luxury finishes and coastal style.
The custom ply-wood kitchen was designed and built by a local joiner and carries the luxury beach vibe of the apartment. Complete with an induction cooktop, oven, full fridge freezer and dishwasher it has everything you need to cook up a feast after your days exploring Raglan.
The living room is furnished to a high standard in keeping with the style of the apartment. Complete with a heat pump/air conditioning unit, wifi and TV it has everything you need for a relaxing evening. The living room also has large sliding doors opening to the covered screened balcony.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms each with a king size bed. Bedroom 1 also has the added feature of sliding doors opening onto the balcony – the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
There is one bathroom in the apartment with high stud ceiling, fully tiled shower, custom made plywood vanity and vented skylight window.

The harbour mouth and Wainamu beach is a short 15-minute walk or take the 30-minute stroll to the centre of town. Even better, bring your bike and ride the gentle 10-minutes into the main street along the newly upgraded bike path, or 5-minutes to the beach and the Raglan Mountain Bike Park (Te Ara Kakariki).

Things to Note

  • Check-In: From 3pm, Check-Out by 10am
  • Each apartment has separate entrances, parking area and no adjoining walls to ensure privacy if booked by other guests.
  • The apartment is located near the lively Rock-It Kitchen restaurant - the perfect place to sip your afternoon brew while soaking in local musical talent with lush grass beneath your feet. Open Wednesday to Sunday, midday until late. If staying with us over the weekend nights, you can expect to hear music playing for dinner guests most Friday and Saturday evenings. Every Sunday throughout Summer, a DJ will be playing in the garden area from 4pm to 10pm. Outside of these standard weekend events, Rock-It Kitchen also holds periodic private functions throughout the year which may include corporate events, weddings and birthdays. During these events (feel free to ask us if an event is being held during your booking dates), it is possible that music noise will continue through until 1am in the morning.
  • Please note that the apartments are located near the roadside so if you are sensitive to car noise at night, we recommend you stay in the north bedroom or bring suitable earplugs with you.
  • With two apartments located side by side, there is an option to combine your getaway with friends and reserve both apartments to sleep up to 8 people. Get in touch with us direct to secure both apartments.
  • Please note, there is no bath and the bathroom is located between the two bedrooms.
  • The lower kitchen shelves are open plan, so please be mindful if you have little ones with you.
  • All linen, towels and basic amenities (soap, shampoo, tea, coffee, carton of milk) are included in your nightly rate.

We’ve stayed twice now and love these apartments. Interior design is great, nice view back onto the hills and directly opposite Rock-it kitchen for delicious food. Only downside is road noise if you sleep with the window open but nothing major.

Decked out with modern furniture, warm wooden tones and crisp white walls, this stunning apartment is the perfect base for your stay in Raglan. Complete with all of the mod-cons, including a terrace, air-conditioning/heating, linen, a flat-screen TV (complete with Netflix), WiFi and a fully-equiped kitchen, you’ll be tempted to stay put! This apartment is also conveniently located next to the Rock-It Kitchen, so you’ll be perfectly positioned to enjoy a fresh cup of barista-made coffee and one of the best breakfast menus in town.

As an added bonus, you’ll find yourself just a 5 minute drive from town — providing the perfect balance between rest and relaxation, and convenience. The 2-bedroom apartment sleeps up to four people (in two large beds) across 70m². If you’ve got a larger group, it’s also possible to book the neighbouring apartment too.

We had a lovely stay at the Wainui apartments. The apartment was so nice and cosy for a winter getaway, with everything we could possibly need to make it an enjoyable and relaxing stay. A short drive to the beach and to town, it was nice to be surrounded by countryside but with the benefit of a a cafe just next door. We look forward to visiting Raglan again in the summer!

This airbnb was tidy and welcoming. It was easy to make ourselves feel at home. It had everything that we needed. The bed and the pillows are divine! All the little details were appreciated - towels, extra pillows and blanket, welcome card and snacks, toiletries. The location was great. We had no issues with the noise from the road. Having Rock-it Kitchen closeby is a big plus - handy place to eat when we get lazy or tired. Lovely place which we will book again if we go back to Raglan.
